Graphic Design

I graduated in 1993 with a BFA in Communication Arts & Design, majoring in Graphic Design, from
Virginia Commonwealth University's School of the Arts
. During the time I studied there, the drafting tables and t-squares were replaced by Macs -- traditional design morphed into digital design. I was not sad to see the end of the amberlith and rubylith.

After graduation I found that I had an even mix of interactive and print work. The print work entailed designing for magazine ads, brochures, catalogs, flyers, and a few logos. My early interactive experience involved video game production and designing kiosk screens.

As my career progressed, I concentrated on interactive work instead of print design. When I do get the opportunity to do print work, it might be something fun like making props for films, such as the Lady from Sockholm and the Bread Squeezer.
